Give a Tax-Deductible Donation to CARE Today!

Last year, CARE worked in 84 countries around the world, supporting 1,015 poverty-fighting projects to reach almost 130 million people, over half of whom are women. This included providing emergency and disaster relief services and supplies to those in need, including more than 1.8 million women, children and families suffering from the famine and drought in the Horn of Africa.

With the generous support of people like you:

  • We respond to natural disasters and emergencies, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of women, children and the elderly.

  • We help improve the health — and save the lives — of pregnant women, new mothers and their babies.

  • We help women access loans and start small businesses so they can provide for their families.

  • We help girls around the world go to school and work with communities to improve education for all children.

  • We deliver health and nutrition services to millions of children and their family members.

You can help us continue our lifesaving and life-changing work around the world with a tax-deductible donation today.

Millions of people around the world still need our help today — and into the future.

CARE is on the ground continuing to provide emergency relief and support services in the Horn of Africa, where a severe drought and famine threatens the lives of more than 13 million people. Since the beginning of this emergency, we have helped almost 1.8 million people with lifesaving food, safe drinking water, shelter, education and counseling. We are working closely to help children and women in the refugee camps, all of whom have suffered tremendous loss, and many of whom have been subjected to rape and other forms of gender-based violence. And we’re working in drought-affected communities to help people with long-term solutions to chronic food insecurity.

In Niger, waves of drought could lead to a severe food crisis like the one that gripped the country in 2009-2010. Last year, women in drought-affected communities formed an association of cereal banks with the help of CARE to support each other and to rescue smaller cereal banks if they face shortages. Today, CARE is preparing to assist hundreds of thousands of people in Niger ahead of a possible catastrophe. We are in the process of developing school feeding programs, providing families cash to purchase food, making sure people can access enough clean water and even helping farmers with animal fodder so that families do not lose their main source of income.

Make a gift to CARE today to help girls get an education; women save money and start their own businesses; mothers and their babies survive pregnancy and childbirth; and so much more.
