Thank you for championing efforts to help adolescent girls around the globe attend and complete school through the Let Girls Learn Initiative.
        
As a CARE supporter, I urge you to further your efforts by supporting a strong inter-agency Adolescent Girl Strategy that will complement Let Girls Learn and help all girls, regardless of where they live, reach their full potential. Such a strategy will support girls as they claim their right to an education and defend them as they resist and find alternatives to child, early and forced marriage.

We must take advantage of the historical timing as world leaders agreed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end global poverty, confront climate change and close equality gaps by 2030. An Adolescent Girl Strategy will assure that the U.S. does its part to meet these goals, specifically SDG 5 to "achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls."

A concrete Adolescent Girl Strategy will contribute to the U.S. Government's leadership role in promoting the rights of women and girls by adequately tracking the progress, policies and programs that address child marriage, girls' education, reproductive health and gender-based violence.

Please support an Adolescent Girls Strategy that complements Let Girls Learn so that we can ensure the greatest positive impact on the lives of girls around the world.
