When a mother dies, her children are less likely to go to school, get immunized against diseases and eat well, and are up to 10 times more likely to die before their second birthday. Almost 41 million girls who should be in primary school are not. For every year of primary education a girl receives, she can boost her income by up to 20 percent later in life! And children of women who have attended at least five years of school are 40 percent more likely to survive past their fifth birthday. Help mothers send their daughters to school!
