CARE and partners are responding to families impacted by Hurricane Helene which landed in Florida as a Category 4 storm.
Helene has impacted families in the US Southeast, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina. Much devastation has occurred in the rural areas - with some areas still rebuilding after last year’s Hurricane Idalia.
With thousands of people impacted, CARE is providing emergency relief across the region including:
- Cash assistance to help families, some who are displaced by the storm, to meet their essential needs such as food, medicine and hygiene supplies.
- Livelihood support to help rebuild and ensure long-term recovery for families and individuals.
- Protecting the most at-risk populations, including women and girls whose needs are often overlooked during a crisis.
By joining us with your gift to CARE’s Hurricane Helene Emergency Fund, you will be directly helping those impacted by the storm across the Southeast of the United States. Please make a donation right now.
CARE Hurricane Helene Emergency Fund
Your emergency gift supports the Hurricane Helene Emergency Fund that mobilizes through local partner organizations to respond to the emergency needs of American families affected by Hurricane Helene.
At CARE we take our commitment to steward your donations very seriously. In the case where donations for a particular appeal exceed what is needed or where local conditions prevent program implementation, we will redirect your dollars to families who urgently need support because of hunger or other crisis situations in the US.
