They're fleeing wars, conflict, persecution and hunger. They abandon their homes for overcrowded and disease-ridden refugee camps, with very little food, shelter or safety. More than 65 million refugees in the world today need our help. For many of them, the United States is a beacon of hope – a promise of safety and a better tomorrow. But the U.S. accepts a very small number of refugees seeking asylum each year...and some lawmakers in Congress want to limit that number even more. Refugees from places like Myanmar, Syria and South Sudan are counting on us. Tell our leaders in Washington that you want to keep our doors open to refugees in desperate need of help.
