Escalating violence and political unrest in Syria have caused a sudden and increasing number of Syrians to flee their homes, even escaping to neighboring countries, stretching already-limited aid and worsening the humanitarian crisis in the region.
President Obama and members of Congress are discussing Syria right now. Their response to this crisis must include help for the women, children and families most affected. Today, close to 7 million Syrians have been displaced from their homes, many without any of their belongings, coping with challenges of being on the run and suffering from the extreme violence that has already killed more than 110,000 people. Malnutrition is on the rise, there’s an outbreak of skin disease and the approaching winter threatens to worsen already-dire living conditions.
Tell Ask President Obama and Congress to please remember those affected most by the crisis and to please act to help them today.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from CARE.
