Join us for a screening of Christy Turlington Burn's film No Woman, No Cry

For hundreds of thousands of women each year, pregnancy is a death sentence. Shockingly, nearly all maternal deaths and disabilities can be prevented. No Woman, No Cry is a gripping documentary that tells the personal stories of pregnant women and their caregivers in four countries as they try to avoid adding to these troubling statistics.

Following the screening (60 minutes) will be a discussion featuring esteemed panelists Doris Bartel, Acting Team Lead, Gender and Empowerment Unit at CARE and Dallas Brennan Rexer, Producer of No Woman No Cry.  At the end of the discussion, the floor will open for questions from the audience.  Attendees are invited to the Norwood clubroom afterward for cocktails and enlightened conversation.

Young Professionals for CARE and the New York Women's Initiative for CARE are dedicated to supporting CARE's mission to end global poverty.  We share CARE's commitment to building a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, connecting individuals through efforts that empower people around the world to overcome poverty.
